C19160 Copper Bar
C19160 alloy is a free-cutting bronze alloy developed for the manufacture of connectors, primarily in the electronics industry. This high machinable alloy must meet several requirements such as high strength, high electrical conductivity, and excellent corrosion resistance. Some advantages include high strength, close diameter control, good machinability, excellent cold heading with an excellent surface finish and micro-structural consistency.

C19160 is nominally composed of 97.8 percent copper, 1 percent lead, 1 percent nickel and 0.2 percent phosphorus, while C19140 is nominally composed of 98.3 percent copper, 0.5 percent lead, 1 percent nickel and 0.2 percent phosphorus. They are noted for their high corrosion resistance, high tensile and yield strength, and high electrical conductivity. Workability and stress relaxation resistance.
Good formability, malleability, ease of plating, and high bending strength are also known properties of alloys, allowing them to successfully replace the well known beryllium copper in many applications where high strength, corrosion resistant alloys are required.
